Open Access Policy

Journal of Critical and Intensive Care is an open access publiction, and the journal’s publication model is based on Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) declaration. All published content is available online, free of charge at

Journal of Critical and Intensive Care adhere strictly to open access to accelerate the barrier-free dissemination of scientific knowledge. All published articles are made freely available to read, download, and distribute immediately upon publication, given that the original source and authors are cited (Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY NC 4.0)).

License and Copyright Agreement

The journal’s content is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC) 4.0 International License which permits third parties to share and adapt the content for non-commercial purposes by giving the appropricate credit to the original work.

COPE Compliance

This journal endorses the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines and will pursue cases of suspected research and publication misconduct (e.g. falsification, unethical experimentation, plagiarism, inappropriate image manipulation, redundant publication). Errata, corrections and retractions

If a substantive error is discovered in an article, we will endeavour to correct the record as soon as possible, either by issuing a correction notice or by retracting the article.

If you believe a retraction is not justified and wish to appeal against a decision, you may appeal to the Chief Editor. Authors may only appeal once, so it is important to ensure that you present all the facts carefully.


There is no fee for article submission, article processing or publication. All expenses are covered by Society of Turkish Intensivists. All published content is available online free of charge.


Proposals for advertisement on the website are subjected to approval by the Society of Turkish Intensivists ( tr, as the Publisher. Only authorized, institutional companies can advertise.


The full texts of all articles are issued online at ( and are available in PDF format free of charge.

If the journal discontinue publishing due to an unexpected, unfortunate event, the manuscripts online and could be accessible to the readers through the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkiye (TUBITAK), an an institution of Republic of Turkiye Ministry of Industry and Technology of Turkish Republic and Turkish Medline National Health Sciences Periodicals Database
